What is Emotional Freedom Technique?

Emotional Freedom Technique (sometimes called 'tapping') has been likened to acupuncture without the needles.  I actually like to think of it as psychological acupuncture. The EFT tapping techniques are a series of astoundingly fast and easy processes that can help just about anyone to achieve genuine freedom from the emotions that have caused problems in their lives.  EFT has been described as one of the most important breakthroughs  of the twentieth century in the area of psychology.

After you have had an opportunity to discuss your issue, EFT  involves tapping acupuncture points on the meridians (I usually do this but, if you prefer you can tap on yourself) whilst  you focus on your problem.  As we talk and  tap, a cognitive shift takes place enabling you to  start  viewing your situation very differently. This occurs  as negative emotion is released.  EFT is an amazingly successful technique for phobias, anxiety, stress, self esteem, to reduce pain, healing trauma and for weight loss or smoking cessation.

EFT can work very fast and you should notice a distinct improvement in how you are feeling during and after the first session.  If it is a complex problem, however, be prepared for more than one session.  I show you how to use EFT on yourself and clients find this really empowering as well as cost effective.

Emotional Freedom Technique is so called because it really does give you  freedom from the negative emotions which prevent you from performing to your full capacity or maintaining full health. It comes under the umbrella of Energy Psychology or Meridian Energy Therapy.

EFT was developed from psycholgist Dr Roger Callahan's Thought Field Therapy by Gary Craig in the 1990s. The principle of EFT is that

the cause of is all negative emotions is a

disruption in the body's energy system

The unprecedented rapid growth of EFT is testimony to its success rate.
